But once you reach your goal, you stop exercising and go back to your old eating habits. That’s when you start gaining back the weight you lost, and maybe even a few extra pounds. You end up gaining back all the weight you lost because your habits have not changed.

Hypnotic Gastric Band is an extremely popular Hypnotherapy technique which is a viable alternative to actual Gastric Band or Obesity Surgery. It takes the standard weight loss hypnotherapy to a completely new level.

What is the Hypnotic Gastric Band Process?

Hypnotic Gastric Band is a very detailed series of sessions which first examines your relationship with food and supports you in making fundamental changes to your beliefs, behaviours and feelings about healthy eating. This is followed by a very powerful session where the experience of undergoing a gastric band operation is implanted in your unconscious, with the effects of having a band fitted being so powerfully suggested that you experience them very quickly. You may notice the end of cravings for certain foods, feeling full much sooner and staying feeling full for much longer.

One of the benefits of Hypnotic Gastric Band Therapy is that it allows you to believe the surgery has actually happened without resorting to have the actual surgery. It is 100% safe, risk free and you get all same fantastic results for a fraction of the cost.

How Many Sessions are Needed?

The Hypno-Gastric Band normally takes 4 sessions and many people report losing weight from the first session. The aim is for you to reduce your weight at the rate of 2lbs-3lbs per week. Using this method for reducing weight is far safer than having a real procedure carried out as there are no side effects from anaesthetic or complications that could arise from a real operation.

The first step is an initial consultation here we will explore your relationship with food. We’ll look at your goals for weight loss, and the time you expect it to take. More importantly why in the past you haven’t achieved the goals or have lost them. I can then explain in more detail how the Hypnotic Gastric Band progress works and ask any questions you may have.

Effectively the session will focus on relaxing and what it feels like for you, plus using the power of your imagination to start looking forward and beginning to feel how you will feel as you achieve your goals. It is very much a “Feel Good” session. We will have a session of Hypnotherapy to prepare you for what’s to come. For all clients who have not experienced Hypnosis (so they think) there is always apprehension or anxiety. The first session will remove that worry, usually within a few minutes. I can assure you that it will be a relaxing and very pleasant experience.

Your Second session will focus on changing your habits, your reasons for overeating and your diet. Unlike the actual surgery the therapy addresses the psychological reasons as to why you over eat in the first place. Whether we like it or not it is the subconscious part of our mind that is driving our unwanted eating habits. If we don’t work on it those habits will still be there even if we had the surgery and we would still be putting on weight.

The Third session is where we carry out a Hypnotic Gastric Band operation. There is nothing to worry about as there are no needles, pills, scalpels or anything medical. The session relies on making your subconscious “think” its undergoing a medical procedure during a relaxing Hypnosis session. Once your subconscious “believes” the Hypnotic Gastric Band is in place, two things start to happen. Firstly your appetite will reduce because of the “operation” and secondly your hunger and thoughts about food and drink will reduce. You’ll find yourself getting slimmer and trimmer with no effort. Eating less and worrying less (if at all) about food. Happiness, Confidence and Self Esteem all increase as you FEEL better in yourself.

The Fourth session is is all about the habits that you’re changing. We need to ensure that your habits are well and truly broken. More importantly, if food was used as an emotional crutch we need to explore other ways of finding a substitute that will be more effective and calorie free. The main problem that people experience as they go through any form of positive change is the sabotage they inflict on themselves trying to mess it all up. This is all about loving yourself and what you’re doing. Above all, realising you are worth it.
