Hypnotherapy for Anxiety

We all worry from time to time about the world, others or our own lives, bit have you ever found yourself worrying so much that you just can’t seem to stop? You might feel tense and hot, experience palpitations and shallow breathing. Perhaps you’ve even started to avoid things that you never gave a second thought to before, like driving or going to the supermarket or even social situations you once looked forward to?

There are many types of anxiety ranging from panic attacks to social phobia, excessive worrying to obsessions and compulsions. Severe anxiety serves no purpose in dealing with our everyday problems. It is like a faulty alarm system which goes off in response to an everyday situation or thing which we ‘perceive’ as a catastrophic threat to our physical or psychological well-being, even when there is no real danger – and, as with all learned responses, the more this happens the more it will happen.

How does Hypnosis Help with Anxiety?

If you have experienced panic and anxiety attacks, you will understand how easy it is to let them affect the way that you live your life, and you may even be missing out on enjoyable experiences in the fear of bringing on another attack.

However, the important thing to realise is that if you experience panic attacks, you have a fear of the feelings of anxiety in your body. Since anxiety is a mental battle, hypnotherapy enables you to switch off from your fears and anxieties.

While in a state of deep relaxation you will be able to reframe your perceptions about the situations, events or objects which have been triggering your fears.

Benefits of Hypnotherapy for Anxiety

Hypnotherapy helps you back control of your life by:

  • Reducing the anxiety and stress caused by past events and memories
  • Reconnect your mind and body so that you feel more grounded
  • Rewiring your thought patterns from negative to positive to help you move forward in life in the way you want to
  • Release unwanted negative emotions such as resentment, guilt and anger

With simple changes to your thoughts and the way you react to events and circumstances, you can release the old negative habits and beliefs that no longer serve you and replace them with positive new ones, ensuring you achieve your goals as well as helping you find balance, harmony and well-being in your life.
