There’s a quote by Einstein that says “We can not solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them”
One of the challenges we face when trying to find a solution is that we only look at what we already know or what’s worked for us in the past. We look at any problem through the lens at which we created it or the way that we have maintained it.
Sometimes the best thing to do is to instead stop and open yourself up to new ideas, new ways of thinking, new advice and support that up until now you hadn’t considered. Develop that inner belief in your own strength and the trust and advice of others.
When we try to do everything ourselves we block out potential help from others, and potential new ideas.
Next time you are in a challenging situation, ask yourself, “Who can I ask for help? Who has experienced a similar situation that can offer me guidance?” Don’t just limit yourself to friends and family, thanks to the internet there is help everywhere.
The best part of this is that we can thank the person for their help and advice we help boost their self-esteem too.
When we try to do everything ourselves or are too hard on ourselves, we block out inspiration and new ideas. So step back, take a walk outside, take a break. In doing so you may be surprised by the answers that just pop into your head.
Unless you decide to open yourself up to the help of others and your own inner guidance, you will only stagnate rather than grow and prosper.
